Dear Cultural Section of German Institute in Taipei,
The upcoming forth World Stage Design (WSD2017) will be hosted at the campus of Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), Taiwan, by Taiwan Association of Theatre Technology (TATT) and TNUA on July 1st â 9th, 2017.
World Stage Design is a four-yearly event which provides attendees and participants with a much anticipated opportunity to experience an inspiring programme of theatre design, performances, workshops, seminars and thought-provoking exhibitions. Since its launch in 2005, World Stage Design has now travelled to four cities, Toronto, Canada(2005), Seoul, South Korea(2009), and Cardiff, UK(2013) and attracted thousands of visitors and participants from across the globe.
The WSD2017 Exhibition is opened to all individual designers for submitting works in Performance, Space, Set, Sound, Costume, Lighting, Projection and Multimedia, and Alternative Design. The selected projects will be exhibited in Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts.
Scenofest, a concept of a festival celebrating scenography, sets out to engage professionals and students in the field of theatre design with a wide range of seminars, workshops, thematic exhibitions, performances, and presentations of leading practitioners in all areas of theatre design and technology. Following the concept developed for the WSD/Scenofest 2013, production programming will emphasize the approach of design as performance. We are offering all artists an opportunity to bring their performance to WSD2017.
Online application of WSD2017 Exhibition and Call for Performance of Scenofest begin from June 15th to September 15th in 2016. Please find more detailed information as attached files or visit our website www.wsd2017.com.
