Dear Tandem friend,

As 2015 draws to an end, we want to share with you some memorable moments of the past Tandem year, and look forward to 2016: the Tandemest year yet to come! Thank you to all participants, partners and friends for making Tandem what it is – a warm and hopeful family of change makers. Let’s do-it-together again in 2016!

In 2015, we...

…were immensely touched by the documentary of the Tandem Shaml project ‘Lampedusa Mirrors’, telling the story of the Italian-Tunisian theatre collaboration around refugees arriving to hostile European coasts. You can watch the video here.

…had our first Tandem Network meeting in Eskisehir (Turkey), learning about various European-Turkish collaboration and development funding opportunities as well as an encounter with Julie Ward, our very own Tandem alumna, now elected Member of European Parliament.

…got very close to hot spots in Europe, when Tandem participants and friends became victim of a senseless attack at a protest in Ankara and a shocking accident in a night club in Bucharest.

...learned how “listening is sometimes more important than talking”. Sarah Herke contributed to the Kulturmanagement Magazine with stories from Ukraine and Turkey.
